History

Nub3d s.l. was founded in 1999 in Barcelona to meet the market needs in the field of three-dimensional optical measurement field.

NUB3D develops, produces and distributes optical measurement systems. We also offer 3D digitizing services and act as consultants in project developments. Passionate by the technology, Jorge Rodriguez and Fernando Campo became the founders of NUB3D. They met at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia where they handled several R&D projects.

In 1999, seeing the lack of 3D digitizing services in the industrial market, they decided to dissociate from the University and together created their own 3D digitizing solutions company together.Actually, the experience and knowledge they had been building up to, brought them to the development of a real product with the aim of answering the inspection needs of the production processes.

In 2000, Voxes was launched representing the first 3D optical measuring system in the world which enable "in-line"inspection with a 100% analysis of the manufactured parts.

During the last decade, Jorge and Fernando have been doing demonstrations of the product around the world and thus creating strong relationships between them and the technology users. This has helped them to improve the products and to identify the real industrial need of having a standard measurement system to support the design and production phases. Therefore, the TRIPLE system was launched in 2002 along with the launch of MML technology which allowed the user to digitize pieces without any contact.
